Effective 22 July 2026
Terms & Conditions
The agreement between you and the mill when you place an order.
The short version. Order flour, we mill it fresh and deliver it. Cancel within 12 hours if you change your mind. If something is wrong with what arrives, tell us within 24 hours and we will put it right. We cannot take back opened flour for any other reason, because it is food.
1. Who you are dealing with
This website is operated by Shri Chand Atta, trading as Shri Chand Atta Chakki, at Budh Vihar Ph-1, New Delhi-110086.
2. Agreeing to these terms
By placing an order or using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not order. We may update them, and the version in force is the one published here on the day you order — so the effective date at the top matters.
3. The products
We sell stone-ground flour, milled to order. Some things follow from that and are worth stating before you buy rather than after:
- Colour and texture vary between batches. Wheat is an agricultural product and no two lots are identical. This is normal and is not a defect.
- Shelf life is short. Roughly four to six weeks in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Our flour retains the wheat germ, and the oils in it eventually turn. Buy the pack size you will finish.
- Flour settles. A pack will look less full on arrival than when sealed. The declared net weight is what you have; air has simply left the gaps.
- Photographs are illustrative. They show the product, not a guarantee of an exact shade.
4. Prices and taxes
Prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Delivery is shown separately in the order window before you confirm, so the total you approve is the total you pay. We do not add charges afterwards.
Prices can change without notice, but never for an order already placed. If a price is displayed incorrectly through an obvious error, we may cancel the affected order and refund you in full rather than honour a mistake — we will contact you before doing so.
5. How an order is formed
Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract exists once we confirm the order to you. We may decline an order, and will refund any payment in full, if:
- the item is out of stock or the grain we have does not meet our own standard;
- the delivery address is outside the area we can reach;
- we cannot verify the contact details given;
- the order appears fraudulent or is a resale attempt in breach of these terms.
6. Payment
You may pay by cash on delivery, by UPI, or online by card, UPI, netbanking or wallet where that option is enabled. Online payments are processed by Razorpay, and their terms and privacy policy apply to that transaction.
We never receive or store your card details. If a payment fails or is abandoned, the order remains unpaid and unprocessed — it is not cancelled automatically, so contact us if you want it removed.
7. Delivery
We deliver to Delhi NCR — including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad. Delivery times given are estimates and not guarantees. Because we mill to order, dispatch usually follows within a day or two of your order being confirmed.
Somebody must be available to receive the order at the address given. If nobody is there, we will attempt to contact you and rearrange. Repeated failed attempts on cash-on-delivery orders may lead us to ask for prepayment on future orders, which is a practical matter rather than a penalty.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel within 12 hours of ordering, provided milling has not begun. Once the grain has gone through the chakki for your order, it cannot be returned to stock and the order stands.
To cancel, call or message us with your order number. Do not rely on email alone for something time-sensitive.
9. Returns and refunds
This is a perishable food product, so ordinary change-of-mind returns are not possible once a pack has been opened or has left our control. We are not willing to resell food that has been out of our custody, and you would not want us to.
We will replace or refund, without argument, if:
- the flour has an off or sour smell, or shows any sign of spoilage;
- there is foreign matter in it;
- the net weight is short;
- the pack arrived damaged, torn or wet;
- you received something different from what you ordered.
Tell us within 24 hours of delivery, with your order number and a photograph where there is something to see. Approved refunds are made within 7 working days to the original payment method; for cash-on-delivery orders, by UPI or bank transfer.
None of this affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
10. Accounts
If you create an account, keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for orders placed through your account. Give accurate details — a wrong address means flour goes to the wrong door, and we cannot refund that.
We may suspend an account used fraudulently or abusively, and will say why.
11. Using this website
Please do not attempt to break into, overload, scrape or interfere with this site, place orders you do not intend to accept, or impersonate someone else. The text, photographs, logo and design belong to us and may not be reproduced commercially without permission. Sharing a link or a recipe is welcome and needs no permission at all.
12. Limits on our liability
We stand behind the flour we sell, and where we are at fault we will put it right. What we cannot accept is liability for indirect or consequential losses — a delayed delivery disrupting an event, for instance. Except where the law does not allow such a limit, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delays caused by things we cannot control: crop failure or grain shortage, power cuts, transport strikes, floods, extreme weather, civil disruption, or government restrictions. Where such an event prevents delivery, we will tell you and refund you rather than leave the order hanging.
14. Complaints
Speak to us first — most problems are settled in a single phone call. If a complaint is not resolved, escalate it to our Grievance Officer, who acknowledges within 48 hours and resolves within one month, as the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 require.

15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Delhi have jurisdiction. This does not take away your right to approach a consumer forum where you live.
Common questions
Can I cancel after ordering?
Yes, within 12 hours, provided we have not started milling. After that the flour has been ground specifically for your order and cannot be returned to stock. Call or WhatsApp — that is faster than email for anything time-sensitive.
Can I return flour I have opened?
Not as a change of mind, because it is a perishable food product and we cannot resell it safely. If there is something wrong with it — an off smell, foreign matter, the wrong weight, damage in transit — tell us within 24 hours and we will replace or refund it.
When will my refund reach me?
Within 7 working days of us approving it, to the same method you paid with. Cash-on-delivery refunds are made by UPI or bank transfer, since there is no card to reverse.
Are the prices on the website final?
Yes, for the pack sizes shown. The total you see in the order window — flour plus delivery — is what you pay. Bulk and wholesale rates are different and are quoted separately.
Which court would a dispute go to?
Courts at Delhi have jurisdiction, and Indian law applies. Nothing in these terms removes your right to approach a consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
